The start-up NextProtein launches with 0.9 million euros as shares the Capital Finance of Echos . It is a new producer of insect-based animal feed components. Founded in October 2015 in Orsay, the start-up has an insect breeding operation. A 300 m 2 production facility , 40 km south of Tunis. Included in this equity, € 0.4 million from the Anaxago crowdfunding platform. The start-up can also count on new shareholders, business angels, as Xavier Niel with Kima Ventures, Jérôme Lecat and torque founder of Atelier Cologne.

After reaching the 2016 daily milestone of producing 30 kg of insect larvae from 300 kg of fruit and vegetable waste, nextProtein aims to convert between five and 10 tonnes of organic waste into one tonne of protein and oil from its new 2500m2 production site and its 15-person team, in 2017.
With 24 fundraisers recorded from 14 to 20 January, the week will have been more than fruitful for the French startups. However, while the amounts were relatively high last week (only one exercise was less than one million euros), this week we see ten levies close to one million euros.
